This is one of the simplest breads because it requires no kneading and it has a short rising time. The reason why you don’t need to knead the dough is because it is high in hydration which basically means it has a high flour to water ratio. The dough is very sticky and it is typical for a focaccia or ciabatta recipe. When you cut of slice of the bread you will see large airy crumbs.
Instructions
Step 1 – Mix all the ingredients
5.5 cup / 715g all purpose or bread flour
1.5 tbsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp yeast
1 tbsp fresh rosemary (optional)
2 2/3 cup warm water
Mix all the ingredients in a big bowl. Take a big bowl which is bigger than your dough bowl and pour boiling water in it then set your dough bowl in the warm water bath for one hour. Cover the dough bowl with plastic wrap and put a kitchen towel over the bowls to trap the moist air. Since this is a quick bread we are proving a warm moist environment for the yeast to grow quickly. At the end of the hour you will see that your dough has doubled.
Step 2 – Shape the Bread
Pour the dough into a 9×13 inch greased pan and let it rise again for 30 minutes on the kitchen counter
.
Step 3 – Bake the Bread
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and bake the bread for upto to 45 minutes. Keep an eye on it in the last 10 minutes to make sure it doesn’t burn.
ALL DONE! Happy cooking, let us know in the comments if you have any feedback or suggestions, we would love to hear from you.
